Liat Mordechay Hertanu is the Co-Founder and Marketing and Business Development at 24me (www.twentyfour.me). She is a passionate entrepreneur who builds businesses that aim to solve real life problems. By the age of 26, she was a Director of  Account Management and the head of  an Operation department in fast growing startups. Prior to 24me Liat started two other ventures. Her background also includes working for several successful technology firms and being responsible for customer management of Fortune 500 companies in North America. Liat holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the IDC Herzelia, she is a Zell Entrepreneurship program Alum from the IDC and holds a Masters in International Business from the Executive program of St. Louis University in U.S.A. Liat is a mom of three and She was recently chosen by Forbes Magazine as one of the 10 female entrepreneurs to watch out of Israel.

Liat Sade-Sternberg serves as Fusic CEO  a young startup company which is an innovative social music video platform. Fusic developed an easy way to mix music videos and selfies into one fuse. It’s  goal is a collaborative platform which will be the next generation of selfies and a new easy way for fans to interact with their favorite music acts.

Fromaly, Mrs. Sade-Sternberg served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Babylon.com and was responsib for succsful launches of Babylon free model, Babylon Mobile Apps (Babylon Touch) and the leading of Guinness World Record.

Mrs. Sade-Sternberg has over 13 years of experience in the executive direction of global high-tech companies. Within the web, media and mobile platforms, specializes in marketing, sales, business development and strategy.

Mrs. Sade-Sternberg holds a B.A. in East Asian Studies, Sociology and Anthropology and Chinese languages from Tel Aviv University and an M.A. in law studies from Bar Ilan University.

Co-founder & CEO of OwnerListens.com, a messaging platform for businesses and customers to communicate directly.

OwnerListens is part of the mobile retail revolution, enabling real-time customer service, customer recovery, online reputation management and mobile marketing for businesses.

In addition to running OwnerListens, Adi mentors entrepreneurs at Stanford University’s Lean LaunchPad, a class led by Steve Blank; at StartX, a Stanford affiliated startup accelerator; and at UpWest Labs, an accelerator for Israel-affiliated entrepreneurs. She is also on the leadership team of the  SFO-TLV Direct Flight Initiative (sfotlv.org).

Adi holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an LL.B & LL.M (cum laude) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to her time at Stanford, Adi was a Captain in the Israel Defense Forces and an attorney for the Israeli government’s top planning commission, appearing in Parliament and handling Supreme Court cases.

After graduating from Stanford, Adi founded a financial services startup, worked at Peter Thiel’s Clarium Capital and, in October 2011, founded OwnerListens.

Hailing from Milwaukee and having attended college in Syracuse, Megan has been appreciating the balmy winters of NYC for the past 6 years. Here Megan began her career at TAXI where she won planning awards for brands such as Blue Shield of California, New York Life and New Holland. Most recently she worked at the largest, independent digital agency, Profero, where she was the strategic lead on Lufthansa and Johnson’s Baby Canada. While there she implemented global social media strategies for Pepsi and Gatorade. Megan spends her spare time frequenting craft beer festivals, surfing Petfinder and correcting people on the pronunciation of her last name.

Terry Kassel is currently Member of Management Committee and Head of Strategic HR at Elliott Associates, a hedge fund founded by Paul E. Singer in 1977. Prior to Elliott Associates, she worked at Merrill Lynch & Co, Inc. in a number of roles including Global Head of HR, Counsel and Head of Human Resources, Private Client, and Litigation General Counsel.

She is also Acting Chairman for The Start Up Nation Institute and Trustee of the Paul E. Singer Foundation.

Kay Koplovitz is the Founder of USA Network, and the Sci-Fi Channel and USA Networks International.

She created the business model for cable networks by introducing the concept of two revenue streams – licensing and advertising. Ms. Koplovitz served as Chairperson & CEO until the company was sold for $4.5 Billion in 1998.

Presently, Ms. Koplovitz is the Chairman and Co-Founder of Springboard Enterprises, the premier platform where entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts meet to build great women led businesses. Springboard educates, sources, coaches, showcases and supports high growth companies seeking equity capital for expansion. Since its inception in 2000, Springboard Companies have raised over $5.5 Billion and created over 10,000 jobs.

Kay counts among her accomplishments the Presidential appointment as Chair of the National Women’s Business Council (1998-2001).

In recent years Kay has stepped into a leadership role in the area of Board Diversity and getting more women on boards joining the efforts of NYSE/Euronext, The Women’s Forum, Yale University and The Partnership for New York City, and Corporate Board Member.

Kay is the Chairman of the Board of Fifth & Pacific (Formerly Liz Claiborne Inc.) She is also a Board Member of CA Technology, and ION Media. She has served on the boards of Oracle, Nabisco, Instinet and General Re.

She is the author of Bold Women, Big Ideas and speaks on the topics of women’s leadership especially in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Board Diversity and media. She is frequently interviewed on these subjects by news and media outlets including, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Business Week, Mergers and Acquisitions, CNN, Fox News, Bloomberg , Tech Crunch, Variety and others.

She serves as trustee of The Paley Center for Media as well as The University of Wisconsin-Madison, College of Letters & Science. She holds a master’s degree in Communications from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin as well as honorary doctorate degrees from Emerson College, St. John’s University, Michigan State University and Canasius College. A native of Milwaukee, Ms. Koplovitz is married to private investor William C. Koplovitz, Jr.

As founder of Mary’s Gone Crackers, Mary Waldner leads both product development and brand strategy for the company. Mary is responsible for the development of all of the company’s products, and has been a Director since the company was incorporated in 2004.

Inspired by her own struggles with Celiac Disease, Waldner created Mary’s Gone Crackers after finding a shortage of nutritious, gluten free options that tasted good. Her handcrafted recipe became a hit not only with Celiac sufferers, but with consumers eager for delicious snacks they could feel good about eating. Mary’s Gone Crackers Original was awarded the Sofi Gold for the most outstanding cracker at the New York Fancy Food Show in 2008.

Waldner is a member of the Organic Trade Association and the Celiac Sprue Association.

Prior to co-founding Mary’s Gone Crackers, Waldner practiced as a psychotherapist for 26 years; she holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. Mary Waldner is married to Dale Rodrigues with whom she created Mary’s Gone Crackers. She resides in Paradise, CA.

Leveraging over 15 years of high-tech industry experience, Michal is the founder and Managing Partner of Eva Ventures. Michal is responsible for the firm’s vision and values, business development, and all operations.

Prior of becoming an investor, Michal made her career in Product, Marketing and  Strategic consulting. Michal developed her passion for high tech and belief in the value of entrepreneurship early in her career – as a young Product Manager at Comverse (CMVT), as the head of Roaming Services at Pelephone (Israel’s first Mobile operator), through many years of Strategy and marketing consulting to a variety of companies, ranging from cutting edge startups to retail and consumers market leaders.

Ms. Michaeli received her MBA from the Reccanati School of Business at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and her BA from the The College of Management Academic Studies.

Bio: Archie Gottesman is the co-owner and Chief Branding Officer of Edison Properties in Newark, New Jersey. She oversees the marketing and advertising of the company’s multiple entities, including Edison ParkFast and Manhattan Mini Storage. Outside the office, Archie is passionate about promoting Jewish Overnight Camp, which she views as vital to the survival of the Jewish people. Archie is a graduate of Northwestern University. She and her husband, Gary DeBode, live in Summit, New Jersey.

Lisa Silverstein is a Senior Vice President of Silverstein Properties, Inc. and oversees the firm’s residential real estate portfolio. Ms. Silverstein actively participates in all aspects of residential real estate development from deal evaluation, analysis and pre-development planning to construction, marketing, operations, sales and leasing.

Ms. Silverstein sits on the board of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and serves on the Women’s Executive Committee at UJA. She serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at New York University.

Lital Asher-Dotan, heads marketing at Rapid7, a leading  risk management software company with 200+ employees.  Formerly, Lital was the Open Innovation Leader, Global Business Development, Procter & Gamble.

Lital was chosen as one of the “40 most Influential managers in Israel under the age of 40” by the prestigious TheMarker Magazine, for establishing Procter & Gamble’s Israel House of Innovation, the first P&G R&D center in Israel.

She combines a broad scientific and technological background with over 10 years of marketing and communication experience in various brands, using various media vehicles.

Lital led many Israel award-winning communication campaigns, including the launch of Gillette Fusion, the Cannes Lions Media Awards winner campaign for Biomat (the 1st ever P&G Cannes Lions award), and more.

Lital earned her BSc (Magna Cum Laude) in Biology at Tel Aviv University in 1999. She earned her MA in Biotechnology Management at the Columbia University in the City of New York in 2001 with the thesis Novel Biotech Applications for Auto-Immune Disease.

Erika Karp is an American businesswoman and economist who studies sustainability issues. She was a Managing Director and Head of Global Sector Research for UBS Investment Bank. In 2013, she founded Cornerstone Capital, Inc, a consulting company.

 Ms. Karp is a founding board member of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, a member of the program design advisory council for Harvard Business School’s executive education program on “Innovating for Sustainability”, sits on the Environmental and Human Rights Committee of the UBS Group Executive Board, and is a member of the World Economic Forum.

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Tanya studied technology and its socioeconomic impacts on rural economies at UCSD. Conducting a number of studies on financial technology advancements in Oaxaca, Mexico, she co-authored “The Economics of Migration”, published by the University of California. Shortly thereafter, Menendez joined the Google Strategy and Integration group advising on internal system operations. In 2011 Menendez partnered with Matthew Burnett on The Brooklyn Bakery to manage sales and operations. While at The Brooklyn Bakery, she came up with the idea to create a platform for entrepreneurs to be able to easily access American manufacturers. Combining her experience in operations / automation with Matthew’s experience in global manufacturing, they started Maker’s Row.

Chantel Waterbury is Founder and CEO of Chloe + Isabel, a fashion jewelry lifestyle brand  that is empowering the next generation of female entrepreneurs through social retail. A jewelry expert with over 14 years of experience in corporate buying and product development spanning multiple brands and geographies, she has developed jewelry and merchandising strategies for most of the major retailers in the United States.  She began her career in corporate buying for both Target Corporation and Macys Merchandising Group.  She has driven product launches from mass market, as Director of Merchandising at GAP Inc.’s Old Navy division to global merchandising and marketing strategies for luxury at LVMH’s DFS Galleria, where she partnered with brands Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels and Tiffany and Co.  She also designed, developed and sourced jewelry as Vice President at Miriam Haskell where she also ran the Kenneth Cole Jewelry License. She lives with her husband Jeff, son Ben, and dog in New York.

Lisa Weitzman is a Founding Partner of BlueStar Global Investors LLC. Lisa has more than 20 years of national market experience in the commercial real estate industry, with expertise in real estate finance, private investment, public/private partnerships, transaction structuring, and risk management. She has had primary responsibility for more than $2.2 billion in real estate transactions in all major asset classes. Her experience includes originating and structuring debt and equity financings, as well as strategic asset management, which includes the repositioning of assets and maximizing long-term value. Lisa’s expertise is in underwriting assets; assessing risk; securing capital; and negotiating, structuring, closing and managing investments through multiple cycles of the market and the multiple phases of an asset’s progression from site development through stabilization.

From 1991 to 2010, Lisa was a Senior Director and then Partner in Hidalgo & Company LLC, a real estate investment and advisory firm providing financial and strategic advisory services to developers and operators, investing its own principal capital in select development opportunities and actively managing the projects. For the last ten years, Lisa was a principal and development partner, providing financial oversight of equity, debt, third party contracts, and the underwriting of physical, economic, political and market risk factors for real estate valued at over $1 billion. From 1991-2000, Lisa was a Senior Director of Advisory Services, leading or co-managing the origination, underwriting, sourcing, structuring, negotiating and closing of $1.2 billion in equity and debt financings on behalf of developers on a broad array of property types.

Lisa holds a BS from New York University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Joanne has had several careers starting out as a buyer at Macys to running a company in the rag trade eventually leading to spearheading sales for a start-up magazine/e-zine/events company called Silicon Alley Reporter.  On to the non-profit world where she chaired MOUSE (Making Opportunities in Upgrading Schools in Education) an organization focused on technology in inner-city schools.  She has sat on a number of profit and non-profit boards and has been involved with a variety of real estate transactions from beginning to end.

Joanne has been blogging since 1994 under the name Gotham Gal.  She is involved with the start-up community as an angel investor and adviser. She has been a champion of women in tech by starting and co-chairing the Women’s Entrepreneurial Festival with the ITP division of NYU.  Many of the companies she is working with are owned or started by women. The tech companies are Food52, Edison Jr., Catchafire,  Dailyworth,  The Sweeten, NGAdventage, Windowfarms, Venuebook, Scoot, Talk Market, 3rd Ward, Editd,  Blue Bottle Coffee, Lover.ly, Mouth Foods, How Good, Little Borrowed Dress, Vengo, Willa Skincare, Kitchensurfing, littleBits, Nest.io, Red Stamp, VenueBook, Architizer, Capture Proof, Have to Have, Mercaris, Le Tote, Curbed (Eater/Racked) as well as Ricks Picks, several restaurants and The Moon Group.  She is the  Chairperson of Hot Bread Kitchen and sits on the board of the Highline.

Her most successful venture is being married to her best friend, Fred and raising her three kids, Jessica, Emily and Josh.

Alexandra is Founder & CEO of Lulu, a private network for girls to express and share their opinions openly and honestly.  Alexandra created Lulu to unleash the value of girl talk and to empower girls to make smarter decisions on topics ranging from relationships to beauty and health, and wellness. Lulu launched in February 2013 and is now used by more than one million girls in the US.

Before Lulu, Alexandra served as Global Head of Marketing for Upstream,
one of the world’s largest mobile marketing companies. She holds an LLB from the London School of Economics.

Born to a Chinese Jamaican father and a Canadian mother, Alexandra grew up in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. As a professional tennis player, she represented Team Jamaica at the Federation Cup and Commonwealth Games and now plays for the Ladies First team at The Queen’s Club in London. Alexandra also writes a regular column for The Sunday Times about start-up life.

Nili Shalev, Israel’s Economic Minister to North America, has more than 20 years of experience representing the Ministry of Industry and Trade in a wide range of executive positions. Appointed to her present position in the summer of 2011, Nili is responsible for promoting trade and investment between North America and Israel.
Prior to her recent appointment, Ms. Shalev served as the Director of the International Projects and Financing Department at the Foreign Trade Administration in the Ministry of Industry Trade and Labor. She managed several multimillion dollar funds in order to promote and finance Israeli industries.  In 2010 Ms. Shalev was the Executive Director of the Foreign Trade Administration elite cadet course for commercial attaché’s.
From 2008-2010, Ms. Shalev was employed in the private sector as Marketing Director for Miya, an Arison Group company that offers comprehensive water efficiency solutions for municipalities.  From 2004 – 2008, Ms Shalev served as the Israeli Trade Commissioner in Australia and New Zealand.

Since first joining the Ministry of Industry Trade and Labor in 1995, Ms Shalev held several other senior positions. She was the Director of the Government SEED Fund at the Office of the Chief Scientist, a multimillion dollar support program aimed at providing incentives for prospective investors in Israeli high-tech start-up companies. She also served as the Advisor to the Director General of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Prior to that, she was Deputy Director of the North American Division in the Ministry’s Foreign Trade Administration.

Ms. Shalev holds an MBA (1996) , an MA in Communications (1996) and a BA in International Relations (Cum Laude, 1989-1992), from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is married with two children
